I designed this app to be lightweight, secure, and privacy-friendly — Jordan Zeleny, Developer

Data Collection

The app collects a small amount of anonymized data to support purchases and keep the app stable. None of it is linked to your identity, used for tracking, sold, or used for advertising.

  • In-App PurchasesAnonymous purchase history, used to unlock features you’ve paid for, restore purchases, and measure sales.
  • Crash and Performance DataIf the app crashes or misbehaves, an anonymous crash report (device model, OS version, and the app’s state at the time) is collected via Google Firebase so I can find and fix bugs.
  • Usage AnalyticsAnonymous, aggregated statistics about how the app is used, such as which features are opened and paywall interactions, via Google Firebase, RevenueCat, and Superwall, used only to improve the app.
  • Device ID and IP AddressAn anonymous, app-specific device identifier (never your name or Apple Account) is used by the purchase and analytics services above to restore purchases and count usage. Like any online service, they also receive your IP address when the app connects. Not linked to your identity and not used for tracking.

Optional Data Collection

The data below is processed only if you choose to use the optional AI features (the AI Label Assistant, the label sheet scanner, and the support chat), and only after you allow it in the in-app “Data Sharing Permission” prompt. It is used solely to produce your result, is not linked to your identity, is not used for tracking, and is not used to train any AI model. The app does not require these features: every core feature, including choosing a label sheet, typing and designing your labels, adding barcodes and images, and printing, works fully on your device without them.

  • Names and Mailing AddressesAddress labels need a name and an address on them. When you ask the AI Label Assistant to make labels for people (for example, “return address labels for John Doe” or a pasted guest list), the names and mailing addresses you type, paste, or already have on your sheet are sent securely through AIProxy to OpenAI, only so the assistant can arrange them onto your labels. They are not stored by me, not linked to your identity, and not used for tracking.
  • Contacts (Optional)If you allow Contacts access, the assistant can fill labels for people you mention by name (for example, “a label for Mom” or “the Hendersons”). Your contacts are searched on your device, and only the names and mailing addresses of the people that match are sent with your request. Your full address book is never uploaded. You can turn off Contacts access at any time in your device’s Settings, or add people one at a time with the contact picker instead.
  • Photos and Camera (Optional)Photos you take or choose (for example, a label sheet’s packaging so the app can identify the sheet, or a list, logo, or label you’d like copied) are sent securely through AIProxy to OpenAI, only to read them or use them on your labels. A snapshot of your current label sheet is also included so the assistant can edit what’s already there. I never receive, store, or retain your photos.
  • AI Image GenerationWhen you ask the assistant to create artwork for your labels, your text description is sent to OpenAI to generate the image.
  • Customer SupportMessages you type or paste into the in-app support chat are securely routed through AIProxy to OpenAI, only to generate a reply. They are not stored by me, not linked to your identity, and not used for tracking. Please do not type anything into the chat that you would not want transmitted for processing.
  • Device ID and IP AddressAdditionally used by AIProxy to enforce per-device usage limits when you use the AI features.
  • If You Decline PermissionThe entire app continues to work. Your labels, names, and addresses stay on your device and never leave it except when you print or share them yourself, or when they sync to your own private iCloud (see below).

Saved Designs and iCloud

  • What syncsYour saved designs (Favorites and Recents, including any images on them) and a few app settings (such as your AI data-sharing choice and the details the assistant remembers for you, like your return address) are stored on your device and in your personal, private iCloud account, so they stay in sync between your iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
  • Who can see itThis private iCloud database is controlled by your Apple Account; I have no access to it. Syncing only happens between devices signed in to the same Apple Account.
  • Turning it offIf you’re not signed in to iCloud, or you turn off iCloud for Label Printer in your device’s Settings, everything stays on this device only.
  • On-device onlyYour AI chat history never syncs; it stays on the device.
  • DeletingDelete individual designs any time, or use “Reset App” in Settings to remove everything from your device and your iCloud.

Data Sharing

Anonymous data is shared with the following trusted third-party services to provide and improve app functionality. None of the data is linked to your identity or used for tracking purposes. You can review their privacy policies for more details.

  • Google FirebaseProcesses anonymous crash reports, performance data, and usage statistics to help me fix bugs and improve the app. Configured without any advertising identifier.Firebase Privacy
  • RevenueCatProcesses anonymous purchase history to manage subscriptions and restore purchases.RevenueCat Privacy Policy
  • SuperwallProcesses anonymous purchase history and paywall interactions to display and manage paywalls.Superwall Privacy Policy
  • AIProxyProcesses anonymized Device ID and IP Address to securely route AI requests, enforce usage limits, and collect anonymous analytics.AIProxy Privacy Policy
  • OpenAIProcesses the content you submit to the AI features (such as text prompts, names and addresses, and images) to generate results.OpenAI Privacy Policy

Data Retention and Deletion

I run no servers and retain none of your content. Text, names, addresses, and photos sent to the AI services are retained only transiently by those providers (OpenAI: up to 30 days for abuse monitoring, then deleted). Anonymous purchase, crash, and usage records are retained by the services above per their policies. Everything stored on your device and in your private iCloud is yours: delete it any time with “Reset App” in Settings, which removes it from your device and from iCloud.
